I have just finished reading a book called "the other side of the show" by a fellow fan David Araújo . It's about a fan who is motivated and has followed the band across continents. How he managed to meet and become friends with the current band as well as close friends with previous band members. How he met Pitti Hecht, Mikael Nord Andersson Michael Schenker to name just a very few. How he had to endure bad times as well as good and came out the other side smiling.
A great book that is definately worth the read.

"I took my time reading David's book. I wanted to soak in all he had to say and had experienced along his journey. From the moment I began I was not only finding myself intrigued, but also very much relating to his story. He captures the fans perspective well, each emotion felt from fan to fan, young and old. Knowing some names along the way really rocked.
Not only was I honored to be included in the book, but found myself reliving many of the press moments he felt, the highs and lows of the job. The Pages bled deep through my core, they extracted my adrenaline rush to level 10 at times. He pulled out emotional tears as I cheered my friend on through each passage of each page chapter by chapter. The thing I enjoyed most was his ability to convey all the emotions I felt with my own Journey with the Scorpions, they leave you breathless and feeling acknowledged as a dedicated fan, it's priceless.

Depois de terminar de ler o livro de David, minha opinião não mudou: ainda não consigo imaginar ninguém mais adequado para escrever tal livro do que David. Ele leva os leitores ao longo de sua jornada de aventura e emoção como um fã de Scorpions, o que nem sempre é fácil e não consiste apenas em emoções fortes. É fácil entender que, o que muitas vezes parece ao olhar de fora, apenas ter sido sorte (vendo apenas o resultado), muitas vezes é muito mais do que isso.
O que torna tudo extremamente agradável para mim é que David não é tímido para admitir seus sentimentos - sentimentos que só um fã conhece. E em cada página você pode sentir o respeito de David por seus ídolos que ele nunca perde, não importa o quão perto ele chegue. Não me admira que ele receba tanto respeito de volta.
Além disso, o leitor também recebe muitas informações muito interessantes que só se consegue no contato pessoal com seus ídolos. Qualquer pessoa interessada em conhecer melhor os atuais e ex-membros da banda ficará bem servida com a leitura deste livro.
Grande elogio a um fã obstinado (como Klaus o descreveu) por um ótimo trabalho. Ansiosa para o próximo livro!

After having finished reading David’s book, my opinion hasn’t changed: I can still not imagine anyone else more suitable for writing such a book than David. He takes the readers along on his adventurous and emotional journey as a fan of the Scorpions, which isn’t always easy and is not only consisting of highs. One can easily understand that what often looks like just having had luck from the outside (only seeing the result), is often much more than this.
What makes it all so extremely likeable for me is that David is not too shy to admit his feelings - feelings that only a fan knows. And on every page you can feel David’s respect for his idols that he never loses, no matter how close he gets. No wonder he gets so much respect back.
Apart from that, the reader also receives a lot of very interesting information that one can only get in personal contact with one’s idols. Anyone interested in getting to know the current and former band members better will be well served by reading this book.
Big compliment to a die-hard fan (as Klaus described it) for a great work. Looking forward to the next book!
My favorite parts are the parts about Uli, because the Uli influenced songs are the reason why I became a Scorpions (and Uli) fan at all."
